I woke up this morning, feeling that crisp wide awake ketosis nudging me out of bed. After the family was fed, I took off in my running shoes – for a forced pace walk down to the harbour – about 1.5 km away, in a fasted state from last night 6pm. At the harbour, after taking in beautiful morning fishing villiage scenery, I turned around and quite to my surprise began jogging back. It felt good. A few months since I’ve stopped smoking and had a chance to actually take my new lungs for a spin. I had no problem getting in the oxygen I needed to take on the steep uphill back to the residential area. I slowed down to a walk at the top, but kept up the forced pace walking all the way home. I broke a sweat and got my heartrate to approx. upper zone Zone 3. The next time I will take a tracker.
I gave it an hour, and then broke my 16 hour fast with the following. Its going to be a good day ahead.
