Most days something is not perfect. Nutrition is off, energy maybe low, mood wrong.
Sometimes, and I have found this happens quite often memorably, absolutely everything is spot on. Rest, nutrition, energy, mood and everything else that could be aligned, just is.
And you become something you don’t recognise in the mirror. Pumping out the sets, sweat running off you – everything is flushed, you’re grunting.
For that half an hour you’re an animal. Metallica blasting in the headphones, checking your heart rate closely on the digital monitor. You’re body shouting “how much more do you want!?”.
Hours later you’re laying in bed still swimming in endorphins, smiling for no other reason than damn it’s good to lift weights….
