I did a heavy chest/tricep session this evening. Nothing exotic, just progressive dumbell press, cable cross overs and then loaded up some plates on the EZ Bar for decline skull crushers. I had the EZ-bar with like 40kgs loaded.
I was feeling good. But I knew, lets not be stupid. Skull Crushers as a lift you need a healthy respect for, or you can like seriously damage your face.
So I built up to my usual workig weight. Then loaded another 10kgs. Was a bit nervious, so I asked some random dude standing around on his phone if he wouldnt
mind just making sure I could re-rack as the set progressed. I wasnt expecting a professional spot. He wasnt too big of a dude. Just like normal nuilt.
I aimed for 8 reps. This kide got me to 10, I think at about rep 11 or 12 reps I “Saw the White Buffalo”. And racked.
I sat there deciding if I needed to run to the bin to puke or not.
Holy crap that was hardcore. Just proves – you dont need to be a big guy to know good technique.
Thanks Buddy!
